Position Overview

We are in search of a Senior / Founding Software Engineer who can ship within the current system, but also lead the design and implementation of new components within our architecture as we expand our capabilities.

The ideal candidate has expertise in AWS, has good working knowledge of browser and DOM APIs and has designed and built systems at internet scale.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development and deployment of new features with a keen eye for scalability and efficiency.
2. Collaborate closely with the founders to gather feedback and translate it into new features.
3. Design and implement new systems, ensuring the integration with our existing architecture.
4. Work hands-on with AWS services such as EC2, Kinesis, and Firehose to optimize our cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 4 experience in software development with a strong emphasis on cloud-based services, preferably AWS.
2. Proficiency in JavaScript, and familiarity (or a willingness to learn) Ruby and Python.
3. Demonstrated experience with AWS services at internet-scale.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
